Apple’s Sales organization generates the revenue needed to fuel our ongoing development of products and services. This in turn, enriches the lives of hundreds of millions of people around the world. Our sales team, is in many ways, the face of Apple to our largest customers. Our US Consumer Retail organization collaborates with our channel partners to seek new opportunities, develop account plans, and execute programs to grow the business, resulting in industry leading customer experiences and expanded adoption of the Apple ecosystem. As a US Consumer Business Development Lead, you will drive the development of strategies and execution of new initiatives across our top US retail partners in partnership with our account and cross-functional teams.

Description

Analyze business opportunities and develop innovative initiatives that promote sales growth for our US Consumer Retail business partners

Propose new ideas, partnerships, and concepts that will drive performance for Apple and our reseller partners

Analyze consumer trends and partner capabilities, identify and articulate opportunities, build a strategic vision, and then directly support cross‑functional teams to build each initiative from the ground up

Create strategic visions for each of our partners to help focus and prioritize our efforts

Support each account to achieve sales growth in alignment with annual sales plan goals and objectives

Continuously collaborate with internal partners including the US Account Teams, Marketing, Services, Digital, Apple Financial Services, Legal and Sales Finance

Monitor market trends and changes in dynamics that create new opportunities and challenges

Negotiate with channel partners to secure deals that deliver desired market and financial results

Develop narratives supported with data to justify proposed deals to senior management both internally and externally

Minimum Qualifications

8+ years of proven experience in business planning, strategy, and strategic management experience; Experience in management consulting, business development, or corporate development preferred.

Experience creating sustainable growth strategies for customers and partners; experience in a channel sales organization preferred.

Strong analytical skills, problem‑solving ability, and business modeling skills with ability to transform data into actionable insights, business plans, and a long‑term vision.

Proven presentation skills and experience presenting to senior leaders to guide business decisions.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Creativity to develop robust analytic approaches and translate strategy into practical and measurable actions.

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent collaboration and relationship building skills, including the ability to influence cross‑functionally, navigate partner organizational structures, and lead complex negotiations.

Passion for impacting our U.S. Retail channel markets, partners, and end customers.

A love for solving problems, the ability to anticipate challenges, and a willingness to provide recommendations that challenge the status‑quo.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $182,600 and $274,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
