Position details

Dedicated swing shift 11 am - 9 pm, 7 on 7 off, averaging 8 admissions per day

Ability to call for back up support from day rounder team if admissions are unmanageable

Designated private physician office space in the clinical decision unit area attached directly to the emergency department

Additional after‑hours resources for support and collaboration include 2 dedicated nocturnists on shift from 7p‑7a, at least 2 board certified emergency medicine physicians on shift, and 24/7 in‑house intensivist coverage

Cover only 1 hospital with 349 acute care beds, admitting medical and surgical patients 18 years of age and older (adult), excluding obstetrical and providing medical coordination and inpatient utilization management for surgical patients

Great access to specialists with over 400 providers on our medical staff representing 40 specialties, including: Neurosurgery, CVT Surgery, Interventional and General Cardiology, General Surgery, Urology, Neurology, Nephrology, Orthopedics, Inpatient Gastroenterology, Psychiatry, and more!

Epic EMR

Procedures optional with privileging and no ICU coverage required (intensivists are in house 24/7 for consultation)

Oversight of Internal Medicine Residents from time to time with additional opportunity to teach medical students.

Internal Medicine BE/BC required
