Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Survey Party Chief
to lead and execute field survey operations. This role involves performing topographical and architectural surveys, stakeout work, and establishing axis and grid lines to support construction and development projects. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership in the field, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage schedules and solve problems efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and perform field surveys, including topographical and architectural surveys
Conduct stakeout surveys for construction and development projects
Establish and verify axis lines and grid lines
Ensure accuracy and quality of survey data and field documentation
Coordinate daily field activities and manage crew productivity
Identify and resolve field issues efficiently to meet project timelines
Adhere to safety standards and site‑specific requirements
Qualifications
Minimum
5+ years
of experience as a Survey Party Chief
Strong proficiency in topographical, architectural, and stakeout surveys
Fluent in English (written and verbal)
Valid driver’s license
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as required
Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and time-management skills
Certifications & Preferences
OSHA 30 / SST 40
(required)
Local residency preferred
Background or degree in
Geology, Engineering, Construction, or a related field
(preferred, not required)
