Role Summary The Network Scheduling Analyst works on a fast-paced team whose responsibilities include developing solutions to schedule planning and analysis activities at Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and Horizon Air. The Network Scheduling team makes decisions in the development, implementation, and tracking of future flights.

Key Duties

In the entry level, the role contributes to schedule planning and analysis under the direction of the team manager. As an individual contributor, this role focuses on providing input and assisting intermediate and senior analysts.

In the intermediate level, this role is responsible for developing solutions to flight schedule planning and analysis activities. As an individual contributor, this role makes recommendations to improve optimized seasonal, out-for-sale schedule, and conceptual flight schedules. Additionally, this role will assist in the development of the capacity plan for assigned regions while ensuring adherence of our domestic and international slot portfolio.

In the senior level, this role is a subject matter expert in flight schedule planning and analysis activities. As an individual contributor, this role exercises considerable judgment to make decisions in initial development of optimized seasonal, out-for-sale schedule, and conceptual flight schedules. This role will also own capacity decisions for their assigned regions. Additionally, the role provides recommendations to address trading off operational, fleet, and revenue considerations to produce industry-leading schedules. Lastly, this role will assist in ensuring full domestic and international slot portfolio compliance and maintain external reporting for adherence.

Job Specific Experience, Education & Skills All Levels

Required

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Knowledge of airline fundamentals and economics.

Must be a self-starter who is able to work independently under tight deadlines.

Superior analytical and critical thinking skills.

Excellent at multi-tasking and able to reprioritize responsibilities as priorities change.

Demonstrates the ability and passion to continuously look for ways to improve the Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines network and flight schedule.

Minimum age of 18.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

Prior knowledge and experience with international network scheduling and slot management.

Prior experience at an airline with a global network portfolio.

Entry Level

Required

Bachelor’s degree with a focus in business administration, economics, statistics, engineering, mathematics, accounting, finance, computer science, or a related area, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.

Intermediate Level

Required

2 years of experience in passenger airline network planning and scheduling, revenue management, or a related analytical role.

Bachelor’s degree with a focus in business administration, economics, statistics, engineering, mathematics, accounting, finance, computer science, or a related area, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.

Senior Level

Required

4 years of experience in passenger airline network planning and scheduling, revenue management, or a related analytical role.

Bachelor’s degree with a focus in business administration, economics, statistics, engineering, mathematics, accounting, finance, computer science, or a related area, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.

Salary Range $78,000 --$173,050 / year

Pay Details Entry level: $78,000 - 105,350

Intermediate level: $91,200 - 136,800

Senior level: $115,350 - 173,050

Salary Details Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon employees. Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.

Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines and Horizon Air pay and benefits can vary by company, location, number of regularly scheduled hours worked, length of employment, and employment status.

Note: We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
