Requirements:
· Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
· 3–5 years of accounting experience, including general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close
· Familiarity with GAAP and standard accounting procedures
· Proficiency with accounting software / ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
· Experience in manufacturing or aerospace industry preferred.
· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
· Ability to review journal entries, reconcile accounts, and prepare financial reports
· Good communication skills; ability to coordinate with other departments and support auditors
· Capacity to supervise or mentor junior accounting staff (if applicable)
Day to Day Responsibilities:
The Accounting Supervisor ensures daily accounting operations run smoothly and accurately, supervises routine bookkeeping and general ledger activity, and helps maintain the integrity of financial data. This role supports month-end closings, performs reconciliations, and ensures compliance with accounting standards — while helping to guide junior accounting staff and coordinate with other departments.
· Manage and review day-to-day bookkeeping, general ledger entries, and account reconciliations
· Support and execute month-end and quarter-end close tasks
· Prepare financial reports and summaries for management
· Assist in maintaining internal controls and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
· Coordinate with accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and other accounting functions as needed
· Assist with audit preparation and support external or internal auditors
· Mentor or provide oversight to junior accounting staff (if the role includes direct reports)
· Identify and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
