Research Associate – Proteomics/Drug Target Validation

Monte Rosa Therapeutics is seeking a highly motivated research associate to join its Proteomics group in Boston to support hit confirmation and drug target validation. This lab‑based position focuses on developing and running cell‑based assays to validate hits from the company’s proteomics‑based screening platform and will collaborate with cross‑functional, multidisciplinary drug discovery teams. Responsibilities

Support research efforts discovering and validating small‑molecule screening hits through development of cellular assays, including target engagement, ternary complex, and degradation assays Collaborate with team members to design and execute experiments using routine molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell culture techniques, including working with both immortalized and primary cell lines Assay optimization: identify and fine‑tune critical assay parameters such as optimal gene expression levels, seeding density, timeframe, or co‑treatments Compile and analyze experimental data and communicate findings at internal meetings Prepare and manage laboratory stocks of routinely used reagents Accurately document experimental details through timely maintenance of electronic lab notebook records and development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for new protocols Qualifications
