Registered Dental Assistant – Bedford Ave – Full Time

Summary: The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) works under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist and provides a broad range of clinical support services to ensure high‑quality patient care and operational efficiency. This role complies with all New York State laws and regulations governing dental assisting practices.

Job Type: Full‑Time

Salary: $24.00–$25.11 per hour

Sign‑On Bonus: $1,500

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Educate patients on oral health and post‑treatment care.
  • Collect preliminary medical histories and vital signs for dentist review.
  • Place and remove rubber dams.
  • Select and pre‑fit provisional crowns.
  • Take impressions for study casts, diagnostic casts, space maintainers, orthodontic appliances, and occlusal guards.
  • Remove periodontal dressings and sutures placed by a licensed dentist.
  • Apply topical anticariogenic and desensitizing agents.
  • Place and remove temporary separating devices and restorations.
  • Remove temporary cement.
  • Take dental radiographs in accordance with Public Health Law.
  • Perform other authorized supportive services as directed by the supervising dentist.

Requirements

  • High School diploma / GED.
  • BLS/CPR certification.
  • Current registration as a Dental Assistant in New York State.
  • Completion of a recognized dental assisting program.
  • Radiology certification per Public Health Law.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
