Job Summary:
The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) assists the general manager with the day‑to‑day operations of the store while adhering to Global Partners policies and procedures.
Job Description
Complete required daily accounting paperwork and transmit by deadline.
Supervise, develop, train and discipline non‑exempt (hourly) employees, holding them accountable for upholding operational standards.
Monitor shift cash handling and inventory. Assist in investigations of shortages/overages of $100 per month or less as well as inventory variations of .5% of sales or less.
Maintain business records, review cashier accountability sheets and records prescribed by the General Manager and/or Territory Manager.
Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and/or other administrative duties as requested, adhering to all Global Partners cash control policies.
Manage cash management procedures including bank deposits and change orders.
Maintain Grand Opening Ready Standards – According to Global Partners store image standards.
Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation.
Ensure store is secure and safe; comply with all safety and environmental guidelines. Report any issues to proper authority and management.
Ensure adequate gasoline levels and coordinate gasoline deliveries.
Engage in all company promotional initiatives.
Promote a high level of guest service.
Perform duties as required by company policies and procedures (includes Company Handbook) and any other duties assigned by General Manager/Territory Manager.
Qualifications
Must be available to work flexible hours that may include day, nights, weekends and/or holidays.
1–2 years supervisory experience.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Ability to communicate, count, read, and write accurately.
Ability to perform basic computer functions.
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Ability to work in intermittent temperatures (outside, cooler, etc.).
Ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs and lift up to 25 lbs. during a shift.
Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
High school Diploma or equivalent.
Pay Range $19.50 - $22.50. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on experience level, knowledge, skills, and location. The company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time.
