The World‑Wide Technology Deployment (WWTD) team is looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Readiness PM to drive pre‑deployment activities for highly complex robotics retrofit deployments. The role requires entrepreneurial initiative and experience in design, preconstruction, construction, MHE/Robotics technology. The PM works cross‑functionally with diverse stakeholders managing deployments from concept through final deployment, focusing on critical utility and infrastructure needs. The individual helps build new processes and playbooks, provides regular status reports, collaborates with internal teams, interfaces with external architects and contractors, and serves as an escalation point for Amazon Robotics onsite teams.
Key Job Responsibilities
Manage projects and influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal and external partners.
Act as the single point of contact for TD to interface with GES D&C team members.
Manage cross‑functional schedules on complex AR Retrofit BAG programs, from site identification through handover.
Review/redline construction plans to ensure scope meets AR specifications.
Evaluate site feasibility including delivery access and prototype program requirements.
Create construction estimates for new capital projects and track project budgets through closeout.
Lead weekly meetings to keep all partners aligned on scope, schedule, permitting, and budget.
Publish weekly business reviews with transparent, accurate status reports.
Supervise on‑site construction, managing general contractors and owner vendors.
Participate in design development to value‑engineer construction methods to reduce time and cost.
Manage change‑order negotiations and contract compliance.
Serve as escalation point for Tech Deployment partners encountering utility/construction blockers.
Ensure contractor compliance with Safety/OSHA requirements.
Drive and oversee continual improvement of construction SOPs, MSAs, bidding procedures, contractor qualifications, and other process documentation.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management.
10+ years in construction management or architecture with progressive responsibility.
10+ years of complex, large‑scale project management (scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, critical path).
5+ years of verbal/written communication influencing stakeholders at director level and above.
5+ years working in highly ambiguous environments and leading rapid scaling.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in design or construction management of fulfillment centers.
15+ years of large‑scale project management discipline with scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, critical path.
10+ years of technical program management working directly with engineering teams and influencing director level stakeholders.
