Amazon seeks a Financial Analyst to play a key role in the Advertising Finance FP&A team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Amazon’s most vibrant businesses, aiming to be a global leader in digital advertising and bringing brands and customers together with innovative experiences.
Responsibilities As a member of the central FP&A team, you will participate in the overall Ads planning process and drive process improvements. You will assist in managing the planning process, aligning organizational goals, and developing headcount and OpEx models and analysis for the Ads organization. You will work closely with business finance teams and senior finance leadership to manage finance deliverables.
This role requires a keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong understanding of basic accounting principles, and solid skills in data mining and business intelligence. Regular interaction with senior business and finance leaders requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Basic Qualifications
1+ years of finance experience
2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable experience
2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science)
Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL
Experience using data to influence business decisions
Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting
