Field Applications Specialist III – Cytek Biosciences

Base pay range: $128,000.00/yr – $160,000.00/yr

Summary The Cytek Field Applications Specialist (FAS) level III will assist internal and external customers with instrumentation and application training and support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Delivers theoretical and hands‑on training for Cytek analyzers, sorters and applications.

Helps develop and deliver Advanced Application trainings to Cytek customers.

Develops complex multicolor panels and assays independently and provides guidance to junior FAS.

Supports customers to troubleshoot high‑complexity assays independently and provides guidance to junior FAS.

Communicates technical information to customers independently and may provide guidance to junior FAS.

Documents application support activities in an accurate and timely manner.

Independently delivers pre‑ and post‑sales technical presentations in alignment with business initiatives.

Performs instrument demonstrations in collaboration with the Sales team, including for KOLs and Tier 1 customers.

Participates in planning and provides onsite support for local and international sales/marketing events, including technical support for trade shows, sponsored seminar series, and user group meetings.

Partners with and supports the Service organization to resolve issues at the customer site, taking the lead on local/regional escalations.

Independently designs and performs experiments to generate data for R&D and Marketing, and participates in the creation of white papers or publications.

Helps organize local customer‑centric events (UGM, data clinics, etc.) in collaboration with Technical Lead, Sales and Marketing.

Helps generate and deliver technical content at local or international events.

Helps develop and generate marketing or training content such as webinars and white papers under guidance of senior FAS.

Tracks and records Requests for Change (RFC) and transfers customer feedback to relevant internal teams, providing feedback to marketing/R&D on product features or improvements.

Supports R&D to evaluate new products.

Participates in onboarding new FAS members and helps plan and deliver internal training.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

Independently develops expertise on new products and maintains high proficiency with legacy instruments, reagents, software and applications.

Assists manager, Tech Lead or Director with planning team activities to support learning and development.

Promotes a safe work environment and reports hazardous conditions or unsafe practices.

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum BA/BS in Life Sciences (Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology, Medical Technology). Master’s or PhD preferred.

8–12 years of academic experience OR >5 years of industry experience OR a combination of both; at least 10 years in research or clinical flow cytometry.

At least 4 years of experience as an FAS with proven career progression and a performance rating of 3.5+ (on a 4.0 scale).

Key Skills and Competencies

Working knowledge of cell biology and flow cytometry applications.

Extensive knowledge of flow cytometry instrumentation, reagents, software platforms and competitive landscape.

Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

Technical/scientific writing experience.

Experience providing onsite technical customer‑facing support.

Experience with technical demonstrations to support Sales and Marketing.

Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

Strong organization and planning skills.

Ability to operate independently and strategically to achieve individual and corporate goals.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Travel on commercial airlines, trains, or rental car to visit customers.

Lift up to 25 lbs and stand for up to an hour at a time.

Approximately 50% travel.
