Job Title: Data Architect Location: Frisco TX (3-4 days week) Duration: Long-term Responsibilities
Cloud Environment Management: Manage and maintain the cloud environment, including provisioning resources, configuring databases, and monitoring performance to ensure optimal functionality. Performance Optimization: Implement strategies to optimize the performance of cloud resources. Security Management: Implement and maintain security best practices within the cloud environment, including user access control, data encryption, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Capacity Planning: Monitor resource utilization and plan for capacity expansion to accommodate future growth and workload demands. Cost Management: Identify opportunities for cost optimization within the cloud environment, such as optimizing resource utilization, implementing auto-scaling policies, and leveraging cost-effective storage options. Team Leadership and Mentoring: Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to junior members of the team, helping them develop their skills and grow in their roles. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, developers, and business analysts, to understand their requirements and ensure the cloud environment meets their needs. Documentation and Best Practices: Document configuration, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices for managing Cloud resources, ensuring knowledge sharing and continuity within the team. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in cloud technology and data management best practices, and recommend improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Azure Databricks environment.
