Job Overview The Telecommunications Network Engineer will maintain and support the current legacy voice environment while a parallel migration is underway (this role will not perform the migration). Reporting to the Manager of Network Services/Telecom, the engineer will ensure availability, performance, scalability, and security across enterprise voice systems and provide 24/7 on‑call support as part of a rotation. Healthcare experience is a plus; Cisco certifications are a bonus.
Key Responsibilities
Configure, support, and maintain
enterprise contact center and voice platforms
(Cisco, Nuance, NICE)
Collaborate with carriers on service implementations, terminations, and outages (local, long distance, toll‑free)
Configure customer service call center solutions for new business needs
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company data and
PHI
Implement and manage
toll‑free services
Assist with
Disaster Recovery
planning, testing, documentation, and reporting
Perform system upgrades and patching outside normal business hours
Comply with
IT Change Control
standards
Participate in a
24/7 on‑call rotation

Related
4-year degree
or equivalent experience
2+ years
networking/systems experience (WAN, LAN, firewall)
3+ years
VoIP, SIP, and QoS experience
Strong customer service and communication skills
Willingness to attend additional training as needed
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
Experience with
CUCM 11.5+ ,
PCCE 11.5+ , Unity Voicemail, CVP, CUIC, Expressway
