ROLE OVERVIEW We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Software Quality Engineer to join our Shopping Portfolio quality team as a QA Lead. You will lead Quality Engineers across multiple scrum teams, and drive quality across the entire portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and lead implementation of testing processes for continuous improvement.

Drive adoption of standards and best practices for software testing and automation integration.

Discover problems, analyze, and mitigate quality risks.

Assist in defining testing strategies and approaches for complex technical implementations.

Direct, manage, and remove roadblocks for onshore and offshore quality teams.

Participate in interviewing and onboarding new employees.

Mentor and guide team members to increase skills and productivity.

Manage and prioritize functional and automation team backlog with QA leadership.

Measure and report organization performance against quality goals and metrics.

Lead team members to decompose requirements into test plans.

Guide team members to investigate root causes of failed manual or automated test scripts.

Identify existing test scripts impacted by new features and capabilities.

Collaborate with product owners and system analysts to define automation testing approach.

Develop testing protocols and standards to improve end‑to‑end outcomes.

Support integration of new automated tests into the continuous integration pipeline.

Define testing strategy and approach to validate new or enhanced functionality.

Determine testing dependencies—including environment, tools, training, build and deployment plans, and communication processes.

Identify risks impacting product delivery and collaborate to prepare mitigation strategies.

Share feedback on sprint deliverables during retrospectives.

Manage remediation of defects throughout the development lifecycle and create supporting quality reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

8+ years of QA experience in a technology delivery organization.

8+ years of experience with web/Internet technologies.

2+ years of proven leadership experience.

Coach and lead QA teams in a Scrum environment.

Web UI and backend automation knowledge.

Experience testing Service‑Oriented Architectures (SOA) / Microservices.

Current development experience in Java (or similar).

Experience with Microsoft SQL or similar relational database.

Experience in a CI/CD and DevOps environment.

Knowledge of XML/JSON and web‑based SOAP/RESTful services.

Understanding of security and performance testing practices.

Self‑driven continuous learning mindset.

Inventive problem solver, collaborative working style.

Travel industry knowledge (recommended).

Knowledge of multi‑tier application architecture (presentation, service, data).

Capability of working with offshore resources.

Experience with Splunk, Jenkins, accessibility testing, mobile and responsive web testing.

Proficiency in Microsoft Workspace applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

Successful internal candidates have spent at least one year on current team.

PAY RANGES Level 3: $130,000 – $160,000 Senior: $150,000 – $190,000 (Bonus and Restricted Stock Unit eligible)
