Job Title Power Systems Technician
Department Field Engineering

Pay $43.93 – 47.87 – 51.83– 55.76 – 60.58 – 62.08
Hours & Schedule Various hours, Monday‑Friday.
Responsibilities This position is responsible for the routine calibration and testing of substation equipment, network equipment, distribution equipment, and communication systems used on the Eversource system. The technician also performs minor troubleshooting and repairs. Under general supervision, the role directs, performs, and is responsible for routine calibration and testing assignments requiring a thorough knowledge of cognizant rules, regulations, and procedures, as well as a working knowledge of the company’s engineering practices. The technician directs and instructs other Power Systems Technicians assisting in the performance of assignments and coordinates work activities with employees of other departments, consulting firms, municipalities, manufacturers, customers, and contractors. The technician ensures that all proper tools, equipment, and materials are available for job assignments and used appropriately, including returning materials to inventory.
Qualifications
MUST POSSESS an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology. Please DO NOT APPLY if you do not have one of these degrees.

Pass the minimum physical requirements as prescribed by Eversource: corrective vision, normal color perception, hearing, and a sense of smell.
Possess a valid driver’s license to operate motor vehicles. Must possess or be willing to obtain the appropriate driver’s license and Eversource qualification to operate motor vehicles of any class and type required by the company.
