The Amazon Business User Experience team champions the business customer in the Amazon Marketplace and supports procurement elements for Amazon Business customers. Areas that a Senior UX Designer will support include partnering with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver customer‑centric solutions for admins involved in business procurement for all sizes of businesses. You will work with the foundational services team to enhance the account management tools in the account setup and configuration space.
A Senior UX Designer in this organization works on the strategic and tactical. They determine the strategy and where to simplify or extend solutions for the best outcome. They will drive the use of best practices and learn to influence. This role needs to be capable of operating autonomously in partnering with product stakeholders from the enterprise account management team to research, define requirements and realize solutions for complex problems across the end‑to‑end account admin experience. This role will be instrumental in defining the agentic experiences leveraging latest AI technologies.
Key job responsibilities
Facilitate and define product requirements and technical feasibility.
Pull insights and guide product stakeholders into design exercises and activities to shape and prioritize user stories ahead of designing solutions.
Recognize risks, effectively communicate, and elevate issues that may impact the customer experience, leading to acceptable solutions for cross‑functional stakeholders.
Generate design documents that communicate recommendations, limitations, trade‑offs and product direction.
Inform and shape product roadmaps, business goals, objectives, and metrics that create customer value.
A day in the life The Senior UX Designer is a vocal advocate for the customer. This role operates as an ambassador for best practices and will be a highly visible team player through their ability to pull stakeholders together to collaborate. As a Senior UX designer, this role will lead design, conduct retrospectives & research that can influence engineering team decisions to enable optimal solutions for our customers.
Basic Qualifications
7+ years of design experience
Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end‑to‑end, user‑centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices
Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature
Experience relying on analytics and data to cultivate deep customer empathy, shape product decisions and track effectiveness of change
Experience in ownership of projects and communicating timelines and executing independently
Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, or similar
Preferred Qualifications
Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes
Master's degree in design, human‑computer interaction (HCI), or Associate's degree or above
Experience in B2B, high‑tech products/services preferred
Experience developing, deploying and managing AI products at scale
