Position Description
Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Pallet Inspector at our warehouse manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas. Pay & Schedule
Hourly Pay: $16.00 per hour Schedule: First Shift Monday – Friday 5:00 am – 1:30 pm Benefits

High school diploma or equivalent preferred 1–2 years or more in carpentry or a manufacturing environment preferred Basic math comprehension Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a diverse environment Highly thorough and dependable Punctual with a good attendance record Work independently with minimal supervision High initiative and accuracy even under pressure Team player and professional relationship builder Operate power equipment safely Lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs; frequent twist, stoop, squat, reach, crouch; perform repetitive movements; stand and walk for extended periods Responsibilities
Pallet Inspector/Palamatic Operator – Safely and securely inspect pallets at a rate that meets company standards and safety standards. Manually lift 70‑lb pallets from a stack to a rolling line; lift pallets for inspection and separation using the Palamatic machine. Quality – Ensure proper inspection and separation. Inventory – Conduct physical inventories as required. Safety and Security – Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area; assist in maintaining warehouse security; conduct operations that promote safety; comply with OSHA and MSDS standards; wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets; perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract; perform other duties as assigned.
