I&C and Electrical Startup and Commissioning Coordinator
Join Jacobs in California to help deliver innovative water infrastructure solutions. You will be a key coordinator for startup and commissioning of large‑scale electrical and I&C systems, working closely with contractors, design teams, and clients to ensure successful component and functional testing.
Base pay range
$160,700.00/yr – $251,150.00/yr
Key responsibilities include:
Serving as the primary point of coordination between the Contractor’s Startup and Commissioning team and the onsite Design Team.
Organizing engineer‑led training sessions and ensuring smooth execution during Component and Functional testing.
Facilitating communication and troubleshooting between contractors and the design team and supporting onsite integration efforts.
Managing contractor activities and resources, attending regular startup and commissioning meetings, and providing support in client and construction management interactions by delivering updates and resolving technical issues.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited university or college.
California PE.
Knowledge of electrical and I&C systems.
Strong wastewater startup experience.
Ability to work at multiple stakeholder levels (client PMs, CM group, and plant operations).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Availability to be on the construction site 1 to 2 days per week.
Preferred
Water infrastructure instrumentation & controls systems and/or electrical design experience.
Experience with PLCs and HMI programming software.
