Data & Systems Analyst (CBP) LMI is seeking a Business/Systems Analyst to support a federal directorate in the National Capital Region. Responsibilities Provide project/program management support to the Directorate’s Engineering Branch, including problem identification and requirements analysis for various initiatives. Facilitate decision‑making meetings and analytic exchanges. Research and document systems process workflows and data flows. Lead or support development, review of engineering management processes, documentation, and implementation. Participate in team‑building research efforts and share analytical techniques and research methodologies. Facilitate and work with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Working Groups to develop and maintain program and project plans and charters. Develop artifacts required by the Joint Requirements Integration and Management System Directive (DHS MD 107‑01) and other pertinent artifacts that enable the Directorate to respond to internal and external inquiries. Manage schedule, program/portfolio reporting, track deadlines and milestones. Manage the action‑item database to resolution and monitor risk‑management activities. Support development, execution, and management of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Memorandum of Agreement/Understanding (MOA/MOU), and Inter‑Agency Agreements (IAAs). Analyze developing capabilities and resolve issues in existing tools. Qualifications 3 to 10 years of experience and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, management, engineering, finance, or information management preferred. Experience in operations research systems analysis or related field preferred. Familiarity with decision analysis methods to evaluate analytic tools, data, and processes for feasibility, usefulness, and value, and present the results. Previous work with CBP and/or USBP is a plus. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders. Ability to effectively solve problems. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment. Experience with the MD‑102, MD‑107 Directives; DHS Acquisition Life Cycle Framework (ALF) and/or Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) management processes. Experience with the CBP Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Accountability (PPBA) framework and processes is a plus. Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a comprehensive government security investigation. The background investigation includes financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, and employment verifications. U.S. citizenship is required. Highly Preferred: Active/Full U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) BI. This position is contingent upon completion of CBP BI.
