Loading Dock Supervisor

The role of the Loading Dock Supervisor is to complete the customer interaction in a pleasant and courteous manner while ensuring safety. To assist in the oversight of the loading docks, and that all policies are being followed. Responsibilities include making exceptional guest experiences the priority in every interaction, contributing to a safe environment for all guests and employees per company and site-specific guidelines, maintaining a ready to serve posture that is welcoming to guests, making eye contact and smiling to all guests to acknowledge them, prioritizing assisting guests before other tasks, working efficiently without rushing to assist guests, using VPNE preferred word choices while speaking with guests, enforcing all VPNE and site policies, assisting with training new employees, coaching employees on best practices, logging in all deliveries to the loading dock, providing traffic control, parking enforcement, and access to the building for all loading dock areas, cleaning the dock areas using brooms, dust pans, and the floor scrubber, sorting, scanning, and delivering packages to the tenants, and being available to work rotating OT shifts on Saturdays.

Qualifications include years of experience: entry to mid level, language skills: proficient in English both verbally and written, education requirements: high school diploma/GED, ability to effectively maneuver around various locations both inside and outside while engaging in bending, prolong standing, running, and prolonged sitting and in all weather conditions, ability to receive medical and/or security clearance for one or more locations, ability to operate basic garage equipment, including pay on foot machines and garage barriers, strong sense of customer service, ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and push a minimum of 200 pounds, be at least 18 years of age, be able and willing to smile during every customer interaction, and maintain uniform standards while around account. Skills include ability to create relationships with customers, organization, continuous improvement, strong problem-solving abilities, previous experience with coaching/mentoring/training employees preferred, and previous management experience preferred.
