Job Description Job Description Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Manufacturing Engineer where you will play a pivotal role in creating manufacturing instructions, designing tooling, and implementing cost reduction projects. Your expertise will help shape our innovative production processes and contribute to our legacy of excellence. Responsibilities Create manufacturing instructions including bill of material, process routing, and cost estimates. Design tooling and shop aids used in the production process. Identify and implement cost reduction projects on legacy products. Make material and construction recommendations as needed. Provide tool designs as required. Document processes and procedures. Essential Skills 5-7 years’ experience in production engineering, preferably in the aerospace arena. Ability to estimate run times for machining and assembly operations. ERP systems knowledge and Microsoft Office experience. Experience in CAD/CAM systems. Experience with Mastercam, 3/4/5 Axis is required. Knowledge of setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes. Understanding of ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 requirements. Additional Skills & Qualifications College degree (Bachelor preferred) in Materials or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. Additional technical coursework preferred. Good English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with employees and customers on various levels. Proficiency in math, including geometry and trigonometry. Experience with measurement instruments including calipers, verniers, gage blocks, and height gages. Proactive, problem solver with an inquisitive nature, willing to propose alternative solutions. Cooperative, flexible team player who flourishes in an interdisciplinary environment. Utilize advanced technologies such as CNC programming and Mastercam to contribute to lean manufacturing processes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brunswick, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $45.67/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
