HHSC Kaua'i Region includes Kaua'i Veterans Memorial Hospital (KVMH), Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital (SMMH)—both critical access hospitals—along with regional clinics and affiliates. This high-performing organization is on a fast-paced Journey to Excellence, and we are seeking a Regional Chief Medical Officer (RCMO) to join the Executive Leadership Team.
Role Overview
10-25% clinical time; majority administrative leadership
Collaborate with the CEO, leadership team, and providers to ensure the highest standards of care
Oversee quality improvement initiatives and compliance with JCAHO, HIPAA, and accreditation standards
Advise on cost-effective, efficient medical interventions and patient care strategies
Requirements
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Minimum 10 years of clinical experience, with at least 3 years in a hospital setting
Have or able to obtain a Hawaii medical licensure
