Join Aya Locums in an immediate opening for a pediatric hospitalist locum position at a Napa acute care hospital. The assignment begins April 1, 2026, and will last 13 weeks.

Length: 13 weeks
Pay: $1850–$2050 per day
Schedule & Coverage
Shift Coverage: 24‑hour on‑call
Shift Schedule: 5 days, 8‑hour rotations (19:00 – 07:00)

General Job Responsibilities
Oversee patient care from admission to discharge.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Coordinate with specialists for complex cases.
Document care in the EMR.
Conduct daily rounds to assess progress and update treatment plans.
Perform procedures such as intubations and central line placement at facilities lacking a critical‑care physician.
Communicate diagnoses and treatment plans to patients and families.
Respond to emergencies with immediate medical intervention.
Collaborate with case managers and social workers for discharge planning.
Skills
Strong internal medicine knowledge for broad medical conditions.
Ability to make sound decisions in rapidly changing or emergency situations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Efficient patient load management.
Multidisciplinary teamwork ability.
Flexibility to adapt to various work environments.
Minimum Education & Training
MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Residency in internal medicine or family medicine accredited by ACGME or AOA.
License & Certifications
Board certification in internal medicine or family medicine (ABIM or AOBIM).
Active, unrestricted California medical license.
Current ACLS.
Experience
At least one year of clinical experience (preferred, but not mandatory).
