Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, hybrid role based in Washington, DC, with opportunities for remote work. The CFO will oversee all financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include managing financial risks, preparing financial statements and reports, coordinating audits, and providing strategic financial guidance to executive leadership. The CFO will play a critical role in the organization’s growth and long-term financial sustainability.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Financial Planning and managing organizational budgets to ensure long-term stability and growth
Proficiency in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
In-depth knowledge of Finance and Financial Reporting processes, including ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Excellent Analytical Skills with a proven ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
Experience in nonprofit financial management is a plus
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, along with CPA or CMA certification preferred
Proficient with financial software and systems
