live exit process
and requires an experienced Interim CFO who can maintain stability, manage the finance function, and support all transaction-related workstreams.
Why the Role Is Open With the company moving into an active sale process, leadership and the private equity sponsor require an interim executive who can immediately step in to manage Finance, guide diligence, and ensure continuity through a potential transaction.
Role Summary The Interim CFO will assume executive ownership of Finance & Accounting during an active transaction process, ensuring stability while supporting all diligence-related activities.
Key Responsibilities Lead all transaction-related finance workstreams, including diligence responses, data refreshes, QofE support, and coordination with potential buyers Oversee the monthly close, reporting package, bank reporting, and financial controls Maintain cash forecasting, liquidity planning, and operational financial discipline Ensure completion of the year-end audit and manage both internal and external accounting partners Partner closely with the CEO and private equity firm to keep all stakeholders aligned Serve as a stabilizing, hands-on financial leader while the company navigates a potential sale
Must-Have Qualifications Direct exit, transaction, and diligence experience , including management of buyer requests, data room organization, roll-forward schedules, supporting add-backs, and coordinating with bankers and auditors Track record operating as CFO / Head of Finance in a
lean environment Hands-on cash management , forecasting, and operating rigor Experience supporting
Quality of Earnings , private equity sponsors, and external advisors Ability to start

and commit to at least
six months
Preferred Background Experience in
SaaS , subscription models, or recurring-revenue businesses Background supporting or leading finance in
sub-100 employee organizations Prior PE-backed company experience strongly preferred
