Title: Cloud Solution Architect

Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of enterprise cloud solutions, deploying and running solutions in a cloud environment, and private, public, and hybrid clouds Extensive experience with Internet technologies and protocols like TCP/IP, VPN, SSL and HTTP Hands-on experience with public and private cloud services (AWS, Openstack, VMWare, ect) as well as load balancers and networking devices Experience designing high availability and disaster recovery / fail-over infrastructures Development experience with database or application integration technology Deep knowledge of Linux fundamentals Knowledge of Open Source architectures and/or past contributions to open source projects Design, development and operations experience with highly-available, scalable, and fault tolerant systems Experience with agile/scrum methodologies Professional Cloud Solutions Architect (PCSA) Certification. 5- 10 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities Develop secure AWS Landing Zones, security patterns, and reference architectures. Define cloud security policies, standards, and governance frameworks. Architect least privilege access, MFA, and SSO solutions. Implement encryption, key management (KMS), and data classification strategies. Integrate security monitoring (SIEM, CSPM) and incident response automation. Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and security architecture reviews. Partner with Dev, DevOps, Engineering, and business stakeholders. Drive adoption of security principles throughout the SDLC (DevSecOps). Develop processes for continuous deployment, including full orchestration of the deployment workflow. Create tools and scripts to enhance the efficiency of operational tasks. Establish and disseminate best practices for DevOps, SecOps, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure throughout the organization. Implement monitoring processes and design/deploy monitoring dashboards. Build and support system automation, deployment, and continuous integration tools. Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology, including processes and deliverables. Aid in the maintenance and monitoring of production environments. Assist in the design and support of internal development environments on public cloud. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with team members and stakeholders.
Operational Responsibilities Lead multiple development projects. Provide coaching and mentoring to team members. Support both development and production environments. Communicate project status, metrics, and issues clearly and effectively.
Basic Qualifications 5-10 years of demonstrated experience in cloud architecture. 1-5 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS. 1-5 years working in Linux environments. 1-5 years of experience with scripting languages, preferably Bash or Python. 1-5 years working with Git SCM, including GitHub and GitLab.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with Agile methodology. Familiarity with cloud infrastructures and deployment models. Understanding and execution of cloud best practices regarding operations and security. Proficient in GCP Services and CLI. Experience with container infrastructure, such as Kubernetes, GKE, EKS Knowledge of tools like Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, TeamCity, Artifactory, DockerHub, and GitHub. Experience administering databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, and/or MSSQL.
Responsibilities: Produce architecture blueprints that guide the development and implementation of Cloud solutions across multiple products, providing direction to technical teams during project delivery and ensuring implementations support technology and product roadmaps. The Cloud Solutions Architect provides their expertise in the development and maintenance of architecture standards and solutions that align with strategic goals and partner with product managers, business analysts, designers, and software engineers to navigate solution decisions. Responsible for creating solutions and presenting compelling recommendations to customers. Define operational procedures and practices Define KPIs and set up appropriate health-checks, monitoring and escalation procedures Accelerate development for roadmap features, to address specific customer requirements Identify ongoing risks and pain points throughout the project, develop and implement mitigation measures. Improve internal processes, and promote knowledge sharing in the team, by contributing to the knowledge base, blogs, and brown bag lunches. Capture project lessons and convert them into architectural best practices applicable to the broader install base; mentor and coach the internal team through internal training sessions.
