Our client, a publicly held global company is seeking a Senior Manager to oversee income tax accounting and operations across both U.S. and international entities. This role partners closely with cross-functional finance groups and is responsible for driving accurate tax reporting, leading key components of the companys federal and foreign tax accounting, and supporting ongoing improvements in processes and technology. The position reports to the Director of Global Tax Accounting & Operations.
Key Responsibilities Manage and review quarterly and annual global tax reporting, including deferred tax assets and liabilities, valuation allowances, and financial-statement tax disclosures. Partner with controllers and planning teams to ensure accuracy of the global effective tax rate (ETR) forecast and cash tax projections. Provide leadership, guidance, and training to regional teams preparing ETRs. Oversee the administration and continuous improvement of tax provision software (e.g., OneSource), identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency. Review journal entries related to income tax expense, uncertain tax positions, deferred taxes, and other items impacting consolidated financial statements. Monitor evolving tax legislation and evaluate implications for the organization. Assist with tax planning initiatives and identify opportunities to optimize the companys tax position. Strengthen and maintain internal controls related to income tax processes. Support tax audits and prepare responses to inquiries from taxing authorities. Collaborate with internal teams including Accounting, Legal, Treasury, and other corporate functions.
Qualifications U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and individuals with asylum or refugee status are eligible. Bachelors degree required; 10+ years of experience in income tax accounting and ASC 740. Background in tax reporting within large multinational public companies. Experience evaluating tax accounting implications of complex transactions. Strong understanding of how tax impacts financial statements. Hands-on experience with OneSource Tax Provision or comparable software. Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and consolidation tools (e.g., HFM) preferred. CPA strongly preferred.
