Position Summary: The Credit Analyst is responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of current and prospective borrowers by analyzing financial data, identifying risk factors, and supporting the banks lending decisions. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the quality of the loan portfolio and assisting lenders in structuring sound credit solutions. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and possesses a solid understanding of financial statements, loan structures, and risk assessment in both commercial and/or residential lending environments. This position will also be responsible for preparing loan documents for loan renewals and loan originations. for preparing, reviewing, and managing loan documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and completeness.

Key Responsibilities: Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow projections, and other borrower documents to assess credit risk. Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments for loan approvals and renewals. Assist lenders with loan structuring by identifying strengths, weaknesses, and mitigants in proposed transactions. Monitor existing loans for covenant compliance, risk changes, and renewal activity. Conduct industry, market, and collateral analysis to support loan decisions. Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in accordance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines. Collaborate with loan officers, portfolio managers, and senior credit staff to ensure high credit quality and consistency in underwriting. Participate in ongoing training to stay current with banking regulations and credit trends. Preparing and reviewing loan documents for accuracy and compliance with regulations. Working closely with loan officers and clients to facilitate the loan process. Maintaining accurate records of all loan documents and ensuring timely updates.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. 13 years of experience in credit analysis, commercial or residential lending, or financial analysis (banking experience preferred). Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, ratio analysis, and cash flow evaluation. Familiarity with lending regulations, loan documentation, and credit policies. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools; experience with credit software systems is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
