Key Responsibilities
Travel & Entertainment (T&E)
Review, audit, and process employee T&E expense reports for accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance
Validate receipts, business purpose, coding, GL account assignment, and approval workflows
Reconcile corporate credit card transactions and ensure timely submission of expense reports
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions related to T&E policies and systems
Monitor compliance with travel and expense policies and escalate exceptions as needed
Identify trends, policy gaps, or recurring issues and recommend improvements
General Accounting
Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and expense allocations
Perform monthly balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Assist with general ledger maintenance and variance analysis
Support accounts payable and expense-related accounting activities as needed
Assist with preparation of financial reports and schedules for management
Internal Controls & Compliance
Ensure expenses comply with company policy, GAAP, and IRS requirements
Maintain documentation to support audits and internal reviews
Assist in updating and maintaining accounting and T&E policies and procedures
Reporting & Process Improvement
Prepare periodic T&E and expense reports for management review
Support budgeting and expense tracking initiatives
Assist with implementation, testing, and optimization of expense management tools (e.g., Concur)
Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3-5 years of accounting experience; exposure to T&E or accounts payable preferred
Working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles
Proficiency in Excel and accounting or expense management systems
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels
