About the Role We are seeking an experienced
D365 Finance Functional Consultant
to support a long-term finance transformation initiative. This is a
100% functional role
focused on configuration, testing, and D365 Finance module expertise. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders to refine processes, configure system capabilities, and support adoption of best-practice financial operations. This role does
not
involve technical integrationsonly D365 Finance configuration and functional testing.
Key Responsibilities Configure and support core
D365 Finance
modules across AP, AR, GL, FA, Leasing, Cash & Bank, and Cost Accounting. Lead requirements gathering sessions to translate business needs into D365 Finance configurations. Perform hands-on configuration, setup, and validation across all assigned finance workstreams. Support
OCR ,
AP automation , and ISV solutions such as
Medius
or
ExFlow
for Accounts Payable. Provide functional expertise for
lockbox setup and migration
in Accounts Receivable. Manage configuration, data migration validation, and reporting setup for
Fixed Assets . Support
Asset Leasing
including ROU and ROE accounting requirements. Configure
General Ledger
elements including accruals, deferrals, financial dimensions, consolidation, multi-currency, and financial reporting structures. Configure
Costing Sheets
and costing structures within D365. Support
Cash & Bank
setup, including standard payment formats, wire formats (ISO, SEPA, others), lockbox functionality, bank reconciliation, and SKG implementation. Conduct functional testing, UAT support, scenario documentation, and issue resolution. Collaborate with finance users to ensure successful adoption of new processes and configurations. Provide ongoing functional expertise, troubleshooting, and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Skills & Experience Strong functional experience with
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance
(D365 F&O). Deep expertise in: Accounts Payable (AP) OCR processes AP automation tools (Medius, ExFlow, other ISVs) Accounts Receivable (AR) Lockbox process and migration Fixed Assets
(setup, migration, reporting) Asset Leasing
(ROU, ROE accounting) General Ledger (GL) Accruals, deferrals, consolidations Account structure and financial reporting Multi-currency Costing Sheet
configuration Cash & Bank Standard payment formats Wire formats (ISO, SEPA, etc.) Lockbox Bank reconciliation SKG implementation Strong experience performing hands-on configuration and functional testing in D365 Finance. Ability to work independently with business stakeholders and manage deliverables under a long-term project structure. Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
