Save Job

The Opportunity Our Company is at a strategic inflection point. We are a

$30M omni-channel building materials manufacturer

scaling rapidly toward

$50M+ . To handle this volume, we must transform our Tucson facility from a scrappy startup environment to a world-class, scalable industrial operation. As our

Warehouse Manager , you will be the linchpin of this transformation. Our logistics hub currently handles over

$11M in freight annually , moving containers of raw materials and shipping complex, heavy finished goods via LTL.

We need a leader who can execute the basics flawlesslyreceiving, put-away, and shippingwhile simultaneously implementing

Lean Warehousing

principles to professionalize the facility for our next stage of growth.

The Mission: Fix the Foundation & Build for Scale Inventory Velocity & Integrity:

You will eliminate the backlog. Your mandate is to ensure all inbound freight is received, audited, and

physically put away in its correct location within 24 hours.

You will implement a daily Cycle Count routine to ensure 99.5%+ inventory accuracy Damage Reduction (The Zero Defect Mindset):

Doors are fragile. You will develop standard work for pallet building and LTL loading, treating damage claims as a process failure that must be root-caused and fixed. The 5S Implementation:

Transform the physical environment. You will lead the facility through a 5S reset (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain). Visual Management:

You will implement visual controls (floor markings, signage, status boards) so that the flow of goods is obvious to anyone walking the floor. Key Responsibilities Floor Supervision:

Spend

80% of your time on the floor.

Set the tone every morning. Lead a daily huddle to review safety, yesterdays errors, and todays volume targets. Housekeeping:

You are comfortable writing a How-To guide for receiving a container or loading a truck and training the team until they get it right. Metrics Management:

Track and report weekly on the Vital Few KPIs: Inventory Accuracy Put-Away Timeliness (Dock-to-Stock time) Shipping Accuracy Damage/Shrinkage % Who You Are The Player-Coach:

You lead from the front. You are willing to hop on a forklift to show a new hire exactly how to place a pallet without damaging the goods. The 5S Champion:

You hate clutter. You understand that a disorganized warehouse is an unsafe and unprofitable one. The Disciplinarian:

You hold people accountable. If a process isn't followed, you step in to correct it immediately, but you do it with respect and a teaching mindset. The Logistics Pro:

You are experienced with heavy/bulky freight (not just small parcels). You understand the physics of loading trucks safely. Qualifications Experience:

Practical experience applying

5S

or

Lean

concepts to organize a chaotic environment. Technical:

We are builders. We value direct communication, accountability, and getting the job done right.
