ROLE DESCRIPTION Bent Ear Solutions is currently seeking a Senior GIS Developer. Experience in public safety, emergency management, or related fields is helpful. This position demands high levels of teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to frequent changes in processes, priorities, and availability. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement GIS solutions for our clients. Collaborating with a team of developers, consultants, analysts, and project managers, you will deliver high-quality, client-focused services.Understanding how GIS can support and enhance emergency management operations is an important component of this position. The position also requires the ability to listen for and capture client requirements and turn those requirements into technological solutions. At BES, we help our clients do more with the technology they already own and this position plays a key role in meeting that mission.

RESPONSIBILITIES Complete all aspects of assigned GIS projects, including design, maintenance, and production of geographic data and applications to create useful, user-friendly solutions. Maintain and update GIS databases, ensuring data integrity and consistency. Leverage Python scripting to automate processes and workflows. Conduct thorough research and analysis using GIS tools to enhance intelligence and operational effectiveness. Develop and maintain GIS documentation and standard operating procedures. Stay informed of emerging GIS technologies and their potential to enhance organizational capabilities. Effectively coordinate and communicate to manage projects independently, for optimal results in a fast-paced work environment. Be client-focused and adaptable to changing requirements and needs. Adhere to policies, procedures, regulations, and agreements related to information security.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Experience with databases and data modeling includingdesigning, collecting, maintaining, validating, and publishing GIS data on the Esri ArcGIS Online platform and ArcGIS Pro, utilizing geodatabases, published layers and other associated data types. Experience with Python scripting to automate GIS processes and workflows. Extensive experience in developing visually appealing applications using Experience Builder, Dashboard, and other ArcGIS Web Application configuration tools. Extensive experience with web-based GIS using the Esri platform, including ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS, and related applications (Survey123 Connect, Dashboard, ArcGIS Hub, Map Viewer, Experience Builder, etc.). An understanding of ArcGIS from an IT perspective, including hardware, software, storage, security, networking, servers, databases, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing. Experience in developing front-end web applications using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and JS libraries such as React and JQuery.

EDUCATION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, GIS, Geography, or related field. 5+ years of experience in GIS (geospatial intelligence preferred). Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work 40 hours or more a week as required by workload. Internet connection and the ability to work remotely. Ability to obtain Top-Secret Security Clearance.
