Role Overview
Our Fortune 500 client is seeking a
Global Tax Strategy Manager
to lead critical aspects of international tax compliance and planning. This role is responsible for managing complex U.S. international tax calculations, overseeing compliance processes, and serving as a technical resource for global tax matters. You will collaborate with senior leadership to ensure accurate reporting, strategic tax planning, and compliance with evolving regulations.
Key Responsibilities Oversee and review complex U.S. international tax calculations, including quarterly and annual computations for foreign tax credits, Subpart F, GILTI, and FDII. Manage the end-to-end U.S. international tax compliance process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of required forms and supporting documentation. Lead the preparation and review of international tax components for quarterly and annual income tax provisions (ASC 740), including reconciliations and disclosures. Provide technical guidance on U.S. tax implications of global transactions, restructurings, and M&A activities. Monitor and analyze new and proposed U.S. international tax legislation, model potential impacts, and present strategic recommendations. Mentor and develop junior team members, reviewing workpapers and fostering technical growth. Serve as the primary contact for internal and external auditors regarding international tax matters. Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance compliance and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications Bachelors degree required; CPA or Masters in Taxation strongly preferred. Minimum 6 years of experience in U.S. international tax. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Skills & Competencies Deep expertise in U.S. international tax law, including Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, foreign tax credits, E&P, and transfer pricing. Advanced proficiency with tax compliance software and ERP systems. Expert-level Excel skills for complex financial modeling. Strong leadership, mentoring, and project management capabilities. Exceptional communication skills for presenting complex concepts to senior stakeholders. Strategic thinker with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
