A Global Investment Bank is looking to hire a seasoned leader to oversee Credit Risk for leveraged and structured credit products across the Americas. This is a Managing Director-level position with significant influence over strategic direction and risk oversight for complex financing transactions. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to shape credit policy, approve high-profile deals, and manage a diverse portfolio of investment-grade and sub-investment-grade exposures. Responsibilities
Oversee risk for leveraged loans, asset-backed lending, lender finance, trade finance, and private credit transactions
Evaluate financials, legal terms, and deal structures; recommend approvals or modifications; assign internal credit ratings
Manage investment-grade and sub-investment-grade exposures, conduct due diligence, monitor market/regulatory changes, and escalate risks
Collaborate on strategic projects, mentor junior team members, and engage with senior stakeholders on high-profile transactions.
Requirements
15+ years in credit risk, including leveraged finance and structured credit; 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
Strong financial statement analysis, credit metrics, and deal structuring skills; familiarity with credit/trading documentation (Credit Agreements, ISDAs).
Exceptional ability to manage due diligence, prioritize under pressure, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (advanced degrees a plus).
