Job Summary

A Financial Advisor at Advocacy Wealth Management is responsible for providing continuous fiduciary-level financial planning and investment services to our clients. The Financial Advisor must understand the Advocacy Wealth, Forge Consulting, and Advocacy Trust planning process, services, systems, and procedures to leverage the expertise of the entire enterprise in service of our clients. The Financial Advisor must have a working knowledge of financial products and services including portfolio investments, insurance and annuity planning, trust, and estate planning, and more. The person in this role must be able to work autonomously and manage a full book of clients. This role requires a FINRA Series 65 license and a Life & Health Insurance license or the ability to obtain both within six months of the date of hire.

Work diligently to develop expertise in the financial planning process as employed by Advocacy Wealth Management for our unique client base which consists primarily of injured plaintiffs who receive a lawsuit recovery. Serve as the Financial Advisor and primary contact within the firm to provide fiduciary-level financial guidance to assigned clients. Work with clients and appropriate internal and external partners to implement all recommendations and solutions presented in the financial plan that are in the best interest of the client. Meet with clients regularly to update as necessary their financial plan to include the verification of their portfolio suitability and risk profile. Assume responsibility for proper review and documentation of the clients financial situation. Identify additional planning opportunities through an assessment of the client's financial needs. Serve as a personal financial advisory resource for a clients attorney and CPA. Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with various specialists who support client service and client development efforts. Serve as an advocate for clients with other business units. Monitor and update pertinent client information using the firms contact management system. Stay abreast of changing economic, legal, financial planning, investment, and general market and business issues and trends impacting clients. Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities Bachelors four-year undergraduate degree or equivalent. Series 65 licensed (will be required to obtain within 6 months, if not) Life and Health Insurance licensed (will be required to obtain within 6 months, if not) CFP designation strongly preferred. Ability to travel up to 40% of time for client meetings. Experience working directly with clients in financial services environment. Detail orientated, strong math, and analytical skills. Good organization and time management skills. Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization. Process oriented and can work with a team. Strong computer and software skills.

Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
