Private Credit Special Situations VP (New York)

About the Role: We are seeking a Vice President to join a leading alternative investment firm's Special Situations and Opportunistic Credit team. This role focuses on non-sponsored investments across the capital structure, including bespoke financings, distressed opportunities, and complex credit solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in sourcing, structuring, and executing investments in unique situations where creativity and rigorous analysis are paramount. Key Responsibilities: Originate and execute non-sponsored credit opportunities across various industries Structure investments up and down the capital stack, including senior debt, mezzanine, and preferred equity Conduct detailed financial modeling, valuation, and risk analysis Lead due diligence processes and negotiate transaction terms Collaborate with senior leadership on portfolio strategy and execution Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in special situations, distressed credit, or opportunistic investing (buy-side experience strongly preferred). Strong track record in non-sponsored transactions and complex deal structuring. Exceptional analytical, modeling, and negotiation skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
