About the Firm
We are currently working with a private equity firm based in the Bay Area that is seeking to add an Associate to its investment team. The firm has developed a reputation for its operationally-driven approach and has built a successful track record of investing in founder-led businesses across the lower middle market.
Key Responsibilities: Support the identification, evaluation, and execution of investment opportunities in the lower middle market, with a focus on industrials and business services. Participate in all stages of the investment process, including due diligence, financial modeling, deal structuring, and execution. Collaborate with portfolio company management and internal operating partners to drive value creation initiatives. Assist in the preparation of investment committee materials, board presentations, and other strategic documentation. Monitor portfolio performance and contribute to ongoing strategic and operational planning.
Qualifications: 2 years of experience in investment banking or private equity by Summer 2026. Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Outstanding academic credentials and demonstrated intellectual curiosity. Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a small, entrepreneurial team.
