is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Finance to join our team and support the strategic and operational leadership of our finance department. Key Responsibilities Coordinate the production of the annual budget in collaboration with organizational leadership. Implement tools and reporting systems for planning, forecasting, monitoring, and decision support. Conduct timely budget monitoring, forecasting, and variance analysis. Lead budget meetings and manage the annual, quarterly, and monthly budget reporting process. Develop budgetary processes to meet short- and long-term financial goals. Track budget balances and compare actual performance against projections. Prepare quarterly budget forecasting reports. Manage quarterly fringe and operations rate analysis. Evaluate accounting processes and systems; recommend and implement optimizations. Oversee and approve bank reconciliations. Manage the annual financial audit process. Ensure compliance with all financial policies and procedures. Prepare financial reports as needed or requested. Supervise the Staff Accountant and Junior Accountant, providing guidance and support as necessary. Resolve escalated issues arising from financial operations. Present the budget to the Board of Directors. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in accounting or finance required;
CPA preferred . Minimum of
57 years of managerial and financial management experience , including at least
2 years in a supervisory role . Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Proficiency in
Excel ,
QuickBooks , or other financial accounting systems. Demonstrated experience in financial and budget reporting. Strong organizational skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage sensitive situations appropriately.
