Lead Advisor
Lead Advisor is a wealth management consulting firm and search firm. This role is for our client, a wealth management practice in Schenectady.
This is ONSITE. Candidates must have Investment Licenses.
Description: Our client, a financial planning and wealth management practice, based in Schenectady, NY is hiring an associate advisor. The associate advisor will be a multifunctional role to enhance the client experience and internal processes in the practice. This is an employee role with base pay compensation.
The associate advisor may take over client relationships as a lead advisor over time. There is a path to potential partnership in the practice for the right candidate who demonstrates top performance over time.
Primary Responsibilities: Serve as a second chair in client meetings with Senior Advisors to: Capture notes and findings from the advisor-client discussion Provide perspective and expertise when appropriate, as an additional voice Build relationships with clients through follow up service
Quarterback the internal processes after the client meetings to ensure all tasks are complete and if necessary, making sure Senior Advisors are well prepared for the next interaction with the client.
Create and update existing financial plans by blending data input work, research and other proactive thinking for both analysis and recommendations. It will be a priority to learn our planning philosophy and our planning software and technologies.
Continue to learn and collaborate with Senior Advisor/Partners in effort to take over a segment of clientele over time.
Service & Operations Responsibilities: Assist the practice in investment operations work such as: Running performance reports Placing trades Rebalancing portfolios and executing tax loss harvesting strategies
Assist the practice in client service work such as: Answering or triaging client questions Help with client onboarding such as account opening and funding Assist with distributions and other requests
Other Responsibilities (but not limited to): Research on investment options, planning opportunities, insurance polices Ad hoc projects
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree CFP
Designation Three years of financial services experience Series 7 and 66 Experience with financial planning software (i.e. Right Capital and Nitrogen (Riskalyze)) Experience with investment and trading programs Experience with CRM systems (i.e. Redtail)
$90,000- $100,000 base salary. 5 days in office.
