Senior Relationship Manager- Corporates (New York)

The Senior Relationship Manager will be responsible for the development and maintenance of relationships with US and Canadian corporate clients/prospects and the management of risk and maximization of returns with such clients. The primary focus of this position will be the origination and development of new relationships.
Originate, develop and maintain active client and prospective client relationships with primarily multinational corporations/Fortune 500 companies across industry verticals including diversified industrials, commodities, oil and gas.
Originate and cross-sell the banks local and international product and services in addition to deliver client focused solutions which meet the needs of clients and prospective clients.
Develop and implement effective business development and account plans, to generate a pipeline of corporate banking opportunities that expand the portfolio and broaden and deepen client relationships in line with performance objectives.
Manage the origination and execution of traditional credit, lending, trade finance, structured transactions, treasury products, developing strong relationships with prospective corporate clients and working collaboratively with colleagues across the bank, to deliver integrated solutions that meet the needs of new and existing clients in line with all policies, procedures, standards, processes, regulations and risk parameters.
Own the global relationship with corporate clients, developing client strategy, account plans and revenue targets, coordinating activities with local and regional relationships managers enabling a coordinated approach to developing and deepening the client portfolios within approved risk and credit limits.
At all times, act with due care, skill and diligence to ensure compliance with the banks risk culture, policies and procedures, code of conduct and values.
Ensure a climate of openness, transparency and accountability for compliance with external regulations and internal risk policies and procedures, where issues are raised and escalated, as appropriate and required, in a timely manner.
Requirements: Excellent understanding of traditional credit, loans, trade finance, treasury products for corporate clients Excellent understanding of credit, loan and trade finance processes Extensive knowledge of documentation Excellent understanding of credit and risk management Extensive understanding of the regulatory environment and obligations Extensive understanding of the banks geographic markets Broad understanding of all the banks specialized products
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance, etc., MBA is a plus
Experience: Minimum of 15 years corporate banking experience at a leading international or global bank Proven credit, documentation and negotiation skills Proven track record of originating, structuring and executing significant credit and trade transactions Successful track-record of developing excellent global client relationships Experience of managing multiple priorities in a challenging and changing environment
