To assist members with their lending needs (mortgage, home equity, consumer loans and Visa), analyze loan requests and make recommendations based on Credit Union's lending policies, federal regulations, and local and state laws. The Lending Coordinator will be the first point of contact for all Loans and Visa inquiries.

Responsibilities Answers Lending Department queue calls as well as other correspondence from members for first mortgages, Home Equity inquiries, consumer loans, and Visa inquiries. In addition, the Lending Coordinator will assist applicants on the status of their application. Explains loan programs to members, evaluates their needs and recommends options by promoting and cross selling the Credit Union's products and services Works with other departments as necessary to achieve success or minimize risk Performs other duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements To meet the minimum established incentive goal each month. To return all phone calls and answer all correspondence within 24 hours. To provide informed, professional, and accurate service and support to all members and associates. To demonstrate a knowledge of all mortgage products and rates, both within the Credit Union and from the industry overall. To maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness. To comply with the Credit Union's security policy and other policies and procedures if applicable.

Knowledge & Skills Experience

- One month to twelve months of similar or related experience. Education

- A high school education or GED. Interpersonal Skills

- Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Other Skills Must possess sales/service skill. Must have a NMLS license or the ability to qualify/obtain one. Knowledge of the secondary market and experience with first and second mortgage residential real estate lending is preferred, but not required Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must have a general knowledge of spread sheets and word processing software; be able to use PC and general office equipment.

Physical Requirements This position mostly operates from a desk. Physical activity is generally limited to lifting small boxes or items less than 20 lbs. Must be able to sit for extended period of time.
