  • Complies with all organizational and departmental policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Collects, labels, and processes specimens accurately and on time, following patient ID policies.
  • Communicates professionally with patients, clients, and coworkers; escalates unresolved issues to supervisors.
  • Confirms orders and gathers accurate billing, diagnostic, and insurance information when needed.
  • Delegates tasks and priorities to staff as appropriate, ensuring workflow efficiency.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including supplies and waste management.
  • Performs clerical duties such as filing, data entry, faxing, and preparing mail.
  • Trains, mentors, and orients new employees to departmental standards and procedures.
  • Documents all activities, logs, and incidents accurately and promptly.
  • Participates in teams, special projects, and ensures compliance with dress codes, safety regulations, and other policies.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification from an accredited Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant program is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience.
  • Medical terminology knowledge and laboratory information system experience is preferred.
  • Must have the ability to establish work priorities and handle several procedures simultaneously.
  • Must interact with other departments.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
