Broker Dealer Accounting and Regulatory Senior Manager
Seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented individual to work at a growing U.S. broker-dealer subsidiary of a global financial services group based out of Spain.
Job Description: Accounting Responsibilities: Assist with day to day accounting responsibilities pursuant to NFA/CME registered Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) activity Establish and execute a plan to convert existing Workday GL to multi-currency version Create and maintain accounting policies for B/D Maintain system reconciliations and month-end closing process for B/D Prepare monthly finance presentation to Senior Management and quarterly presentation to the Board of Directors Prepare daily journal entries as needed Assist with the annual audit of the BD financial statements Analyze monthly variances in balance sheet and income statement activity Track and analyze revenue and operating expenses by lines of business
Regulatory Responsibilities: Build out and file NFA/CME regulatory and collateral filings pursuant to Futures Commission Merchant activity Create regulatory haircuts structure associated with Securities Financing & Lending along with Equity products Assist with preparing the monthly and annual FINRA FOCUS Reports including the form X-17A-5 Part II, Supplemental Statement of Income (SSOI), Form Custody for Broker Dealers, Supplemental Liquidity Schedule (SLS), Off Balance Sheet Report (OBS) and SEC 17H reports Ensure compliance with the SECs Uniform Net Capital Rule 15c3-1 (including daily net capital computations) and Customer Protection Rule 15c3-3 (weekly) for a self-clearing broker dealer Prepare TIC S, TIC BC, & TIC BL monthly reporting to the Federal Reserve Assist with monthly consolidation to BDs foreign parent Assist with audits with regulators and internal/external auditors
Qualifications 7+ Years experience Accounting background in US broker-dealers Bachelors or Masters in Accounting FINRA Series 27 CPA is a plus Experience in using Broadridge Impact and Calypso back office systems Experience in using Workday Enterprise Management Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) product knowledge Securities Lending and Equity product knowledge US GAAP Accounting Policy knowledge SEA, NFA and CME regulatory knowledge surrounding Broker-Dealers and FCMs Professional experience with both financial and operational activity of a self-clearing broker dealer with a foreign parent and foreign affiliates focused institutional activity Proficient in Microsoft Office Spanish speaker is a plus

With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $130,000 to $165,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
