Job Title: Solution Architect Location: Charlotte, NC Duration: Full time.
Overview: The Solution Architect is responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end technology solutions that align with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards. This role bridges the gap between business needs and technical implementation, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Define solution architecture for programs and projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards. Conduct feasibility and impact analysis for proposed solutions. Develop architecture artifacts such as: Initial Design Approach (IDeA/POV) Solution Architecture Document (SAD) Data Flow Diagrams (DFD) Threat Models Provide guidance throughout the solution lifecycle, from ideation to delivery. Support Agile planning, estimation, and readiness assessments. Ensure compliance with security, governance, and cloud standards. Advise on technology platforms, integration patterns, and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and frameworks. Expertise in designing complex, distributed systems. Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and governance practices. Familiarity with banking or financial applications (preferred). Merchant Service experience not required (but big +) Ability to create and review architectural artifacts. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience - Sr. Architect For 10+ years in IT architecture or solution design roles. Experience leading complex discussions between stakeholders Proficiency with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices. Experience in threat modeling and security compliance.
