Financial Transmission Rights (FTRs) . You will work closely with senior traders and quantitative researchers to develop strategies, analyze market data, and optimize trading decisions. Key Responsibilities: Support the power trading desk with a focus on
FTR markets , including congestion analysis and risk assessment. Develop and maintain quantitative models for pricing, forecasting, and portfolio optimization. Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, correlations, and actionable insights. Assist in trade execution and monitor positions to ensure compliance with risk limits. Collaborate with technology teams to enhance data pipelines and analytical tools. Stay informed on market fundamentals, regulatory changes, and transmission planning developments. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field . Strong programming skills in
Python, R, or MATLAB ; experience with SQL is a plus. Solid understanding of
power markets , particularly FTRs and congestion management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Prior experience in energy trading or quantitative research is preferred but not required.
