Exempt Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.:
At minimum, must have a Bachelors Degree in Architecture or Interior Design. Must be a Texas Registered Architect or Interior Designer. Must be able to read and understand architectural specifications and plans, including
the development and production of schematic renderings. Must have experience coordinating interior space planning, design and layout, including accessibility upgrades in compliance with Accessibility and Life Safety Codes. Must have experience with building amenity upgrades & and overall building use management, including space requirements, efficiencies, planning, inventories, budgeting, and the development of stacking diagrams. Must have experience working with consultants to direct initial furniture planning and specifications, interior finish design selection, creation of finish boards, and development of presentations for executive leadership. Must have experience with development of furniture specification sheets and installation schedules, to include coordinating and providing furniture fixture and equipment (FF&E) lists; development of specification and bid documentation with university Project Managers and Procurement Staff; performance of assessment of FF&E; And, the review, assessment, oversight and coordination of installation timeframes with university Project Managers, Construction Managers, and General Contractors. Must be able to work on and coordinate a variety of project assignments varying in size, complexity and scope alongside Project managers and Stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with the documentation and renovation of buildings built from1907 to present. Experience with sustainability, green build, or LEED. Experience with accessibility codes and applications to TDLR.

The Interior Space Planner is responsible for the following:
Assessment of impacts of the design to the overall facility Analysis of building code compliance Conformance with standards for office size, open office plan standards, and furniture standards Review and design of requests for interior space remodels and reconfiguration Assistance in coordinating with stakeholders and FPDC Construction Managers Assistance with developing budgets as requests are submitted to the department Working closely with the Director and Associate Director of FPDC
