Application Programmer
to support a State contract in Baton Rouge, LA. The candidate will: Design, code, compile, test, debug, modify, and document new or existing system functionalities within accepted standards, procedures, and guidelines of the OTS. Support the installation, administration, configuration, and maintenance of the application. Identify, respond, research, and resolve program, data, or system software problems, often on an individual basis, in consultation with other employees and/or users. Meet with Customer Agency’s users and OTS staff to determine needs; write program and/or system specifications and guidelines. Evaluate user requests for changes, determine specific tasks and effects on existing programs and systems, and discuss and explain modifications to users; write user guides and other documentation as needed. Complete change requests, enhancements, and system design for the assigned system, ensuring system modifications are reliable, maintainable, and interoperable with other systems and networks. Coordinate and complete development, testing, and implementation tasks for the assigned system, including collaboration with third-party vendors and various OTS verticals. Prepare and monitor work plans and schedules to ensure timeliness. Participate in OTS AppDM team meetings and report status upon request. Provide technical knowledge transfer, training, documentation, mentorship, and guidance to State personnel as requested. Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory: 2+ years of web development experience with ASP.NET or ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, HTML, Entity Framework (EF), and other 3rd or 4th generation programming languages (3GL or 4GL). 1+ years of experience with cloud services such as Azure App Services, Azure SQL Server, Azure DevOps, and AWS. Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable: Supporting or maintaining applications for the LDWF or the State of Louisiana. Developing applications with third-party APIs, payment processors, or payment integrations. Using PGP encryption for secure file transfer. Writing stored procedures and developing applications with tools like FluentValidation, Hangfire, CsvHelper, RestSharp, and managing source code in GitHub. TriTech is an equal opportunity employer!
