Position Summary The Lead Programmer Analyst position will work within the Administrative Services Unit and serve as a liaison between users, the public, and various subsystems and technical units. This role also provides leadership for the Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) IT Help Desk operations. The position reports to the Director of Administrative Services or designee. In this position, you will : Manage on-site technology support, assisting students at workstations, faculty/staff in classrooms and offices, and supporting A/V and technology for the BEOC Conference Center and Atrium. Handle the operations of the EOC IT help desk, addressing technical issues for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Support technology, A/V, and network operations; liaise with UB IT, SUNY Central, UCAWD, and other departments and partner agencies. Maintain BEOC network servers and troubleshoot system issues. Lead the operation and management of software such as Formstack, ScreenCloud, Banner, Onguard, Milestone. Develop and implement annual Technology and Financial Plans/Budgets with the Director. Monitor network performance and report issues to the appropriate authorities. Address network and workstation performance issues in collaboration with UBIT. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and application problems. Coordinate software installations, including Microsoft Office and antivirus programs. Image and clone computers as needed. Communicate system updates and issues to campus stakeholders. Maintain and enhance the BEOC website, collaborating with IT staff, faculty, staff, and marketing personnel. Create, install, and manage database solutions using MySQL, MSSQL, and other databases. Maintain BEOC computer labs and kiosks to maximize access for students. Plan, communicate, and schedule technological resources for BEOC. Develop and support technology systems for academic and administrative functions. Supervise and coordinate student assistants. Minimum Qualifications Masters degree in computer science or a related IT field. Equivalent combination of education and experience considered. Basic knowledge of HTML and JavaScript. Understanding of Active Directory. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a diverse Adult Education environment. At least three years of experience in computer user support services.
