Description Senior level Computer Scientist to support the Federal Aviation Administration's Air Traffic Control systems by providing simulation and scenario expertise at the William J. Hughes Technical Center for Advanced Aerospace (WJHTC). Will provide various tasks to support test (development for automated testing) as well as field support activities.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems or a related field of study Minimum of 15 years' experience in FAA NAS (National Airspace System) Experienced in scenario development with JVN's SDRR Experience with Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.) Proficiency in programming languages (C++, Java, JavaScript and SQL) Experience with shell scripting Experience with automating web applications and testing concepts, framework & industry best practices Experience with sources control tools (git) Ability to develop clear and concise test cases and test plans Experience developing technical documentation Excellent communications and presentation skills Required onsite 5 days a week at the WJHTC Familiar with WJHTC laboratory operations and configurations Willing to work occasional off-shift and travel Works independently with minimal supervision Develops new technology, modifies the structure of existing software products, and provides technical guidance to complex projects.
