Dallas, TX Description: The OpenShift Architect will participate in technical sprints and assist in defining the scope of a service build model for Infrastructure, including Servers, Storage, Backup, Networks, and Containers. Responsibilities include assessing customer environments, requirements, and building Private Cloud as a Service Infrastructure leveraging best practices and industry-leading technical stacks. The candidate must have a good understanding of applications and the ability to perform application-level assessments. Other duties include installing and configuring compute, storage, and backup stacks for private cloud requirements, especially around Containers as a Service (CaaS). The role involves system integration activities related to compute, storage, OpenShift, and backup, understanding zero-trust architecture, and incorporating SASE into configurations. The architect will create Infrastructure as Code scripts using Helm Charts, Terraform, etc., for reusability and repeatability. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or related field 10+ years of IT experience, including architecting, implementing, managing Hybrid Cloud environments Experience with virtualization for Microservices and container-based architectures Experience with x86 servers and converged infrastructure technologies (IBM, Dell, HP, Cisco) Ability to define firmware build standards for OpenShift platforms Knowledge of security standards and high availability setups Working knowledge of storage platforms (NetApp, EMC, IBM, HP, Pure) Understanding of file systems, migration, platform, and network connectivity Strong skills in cloud networking, virtual networks, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs Good knowledge of cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud) Proficiency with DevOps tools, Git, Infrastructure as Code, and automation scripting (PowerShell, Terraform) Experience with Kubernetes, AKS, RedHat OpenShift Experience migrating systems to the cloud using Azure tools and best practices Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications: 8-10 years of service platform build experience Hands-on experience building scalable infrastructure solutions 5+ years in DevSecOps/Reliability Engineering roles Certifications: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) / RedHat OpenShift Microsoft Azure or AWS Solution Architect Certified Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) / RHCSA Terraform, Azure Certifications (AZ-104 or AZ-305) or similar The primary duties and requirements listed are not exhaustive.
